This Privacy Policy explains how FloDisc (the “App”, “FloDisc”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related website at flo-disc.com (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
FloDisc is a platform that connects customers with local businesses offering discounts and special offers. There are two types of accounts: Customers, who browse businesses and generate discount codes, and Businesses, who create listings and validate discount codes at the point of sale. This Policy applies to both.
2. Information we collect
a. Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address, name, account role (customer or business), and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
b. Business listing information (business accounts)
If you create a business listing, we collect the information you provide, which may include business name, category, address, phone number, website, hours, description, the discount or offer, and photos. Business addresses are converted into approximate map coordinates (geocoding) so customers can find you. Approved business listings (including their photos and offers) are publicly visible to other users of the App.
c. Location information
With your permission, we use your device’s approximate or precise location to show businesses near you and to calculate distances. Location is used while you are using the App; we do not track your location in the background. See Location data.
d. Camera & photos
With your permission, the App uses your camera to scan QR discount codes (business accounts) and to take photos for business listings, and accesses your photo library when you choose to upload listing photos. We only access photos you explicitly select or capture.
e. Discount code activity
When a customer generates a discount code or a business validates one, we process the code, the related business, the time, and whether the code was valid, expired, or already used. This is necessary to operate the discount feature and prevent abuse.
f. Subscription & purchase status
If you purchase a premium subscription, the transaction is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive your subscription status (e.g., active/expired) and related identifiers needed to unlock premium features. We do not receive or store your credit/debit card number.
g. Push notification token
If you enable notifications, we store a push token for your device so we can send you relevant alerts. You can disable this at any time (see Push notifications).
h. Reports & communications
If you report a business or contact us, we collect the content of your report or message and related details so we can review and respond.
i. Information collected automatically
We may collect basic technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, language, general (city-level) region, and diagnostic/log data to keep the Service secure, working, and improving.
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service and its features;
- Show businesses and offers near you and calculate distances;
- Create, display, and moderate business listings;
- Generate and validate discount codes and prevent fraud or abuse;
- Unlock and manage premium subscription features;
- Send push notifications you have opted into;
- Review reports and enforce our Terms;
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- Protect the security and integrity of the Service and comply with law.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
5. Location data
Location access is optional and used only to improve your experience (showing nearby businesses and distances). You can grant or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. If you decline, you can still use the App, but distance-based features may be limited. We do not use background location tracking.
6. Camera & photos
Camera and photo-library access are optional and used only for the features you initiate — scanning QR discount codes and adding photos to business listings. You can manage these permissions in your device settings. Photos you upload to a business listing become part of that public listing.
7. Push notifications
If you opt in, we may send notifications about deals, your account, or your business. You can turn notifications off in the App’s settings or in your device settings at any time, which removes the push token associated with your device.
8. Subscriptions & payments
Premium subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store and Google Play under their terms and privacy practices. Those platforms handle your payment information; we only receive confirmation of your subscription status. Please review Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies for details on how they handle payments.
9. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. Discount-code records and logs are retained for a limited period for security and anti-fraud purposes. When no longer needed, information is deleted or de-identified.
10. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Receive a portable copy of your information;
- Withdraw consent (e.g., for location or notifications);
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at georgiy@flo-disc.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
11. Deleting your account
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing georgiy@flo-disc.com from your account email, or via any in-app account-deletion option where available. Some information may be retained as permitted or required by law (for example, transaction records and abuse-prevention logs).
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Subscriptions require you to be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
14. International users
We operate from, and may process and store information in, the United States and other countries. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your country.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
